Why Choose Us

A team of professional engineers, engineers (mechanical & electrical), technicians, LMI’s & specialists.
Combined team experience of 4+ decades, 300+ cranes/hoists inspected & reported on Holistic, risk based approach encompassing structural, mechanical, electrical and systems aspects.
We are an independent (not associated with any OEM or crane company) with no intent on selling cranes, parts, components or maintenance services. Reducing risk in most cost effective manner.

Engineering expertise include:

  • Special Assessment/Major Inspections on Cranes
  • Lifting Studies and Lifting Study Reviews & Checks
  • Compilation of Repair and Maintenance Procedures
  • Detailed Mechanical Design and Independent Design Reviews
  • Fatigue & Structural Assessments
  • Crawl Condition & Pr.Eng assessments
  • Scope of Work for Tender Purposes
  • Assessing Manufacturing Defects
  • Root Cause Analyses
Know Where to Focus…

Areas We Assess:

01 - Operation
Overhead cranes are designed for a specific application/environment and usage. Design constraints and crane limitations are determined by the Safe Working Load (SWL), cycles & hours in operation.
02 - Maintenance
Design, classification, installation, environment, operation as well as maintenance all effects the overall “Useful Life” of a crane. Having the correct approach in terms of risk prioritisation, tactics, skills, contractor- and spares management can prevent unintended failures.
03 - Systems & Supervision
Systems, procedures, and effective leadership is what prevents deterioration and incidents on cranes. If a crane owner has ineffective, outdated and impractical systems/procedures combined with poor leadership, risk increases. Crane owners are responsible for compliance in terms of standards and local regulations.
04 - Design
Cranes are designed for a specific duty (classification) based on fatigue life. Using cranes outside their design envelope means increased risk and rate of deterioration. Understanding and quantifying the actual vs. theoretical design parameters of a crane (i.e. if the crane is being used as intended) is crucial for a crane owner.
